TREATMENT TO TERRACE / PODIUM SLAB:
The waterproofing system to be used shall be Formak 629 Liquid Applied Waterproofing System. The system shall be single component ready-mixed heavy-bodied polyisoprene waterproofing membrane consisting of three layers, with a nominal thickness of 0.8mm minimum. The reinforcement if used, shall be either 225gsm or 300gsm emulsion bond chopped strand fibre-glass mat. Formak 629 shall be flexible and passes the 3mm mandrel, and shall be able to bridge hairline and minor cracks. When Formak 629 is not reinforced, it shall have at least 500% elongation. At all detailings like pipe protrusions, rain-water-down-pipes, edges and corners, application of the Formak 629 system shall be sufficiently dressed up and reinforced with fibre-glass reinforcement. Upon completion of the application of the Formak 629 system, the entire surface shall be checked for uniformity to ensure proper application of the system.
Cleaning the surface for treatment by removing dust, dirt etc by wire brushing & water jetting. Providing and carrying out FORMAK 629 polyisoprene based waterproofing system in one coat of primer and two coats of FORMAK 629 to slab in two coats brush applied and reinforcing with chopped strand fiber glass mat at upturns and around detailings.
Cleaning the surface for treatment by removing dust, dirt etc by wire brushing & water jetting. Providing and carrying out FORMAK 629 polyisoprene based waterproofing system in one coat of primer and two coats of FORMAK 629 to walls upto 0.30 mtr from slab in two coats brush applied and reinforcing with chopped strand fiber glass mat at upturns and around detailings. |
